To promote public understanding of the Sendai Framework, the City of Sendai has been co-hosting a lecture series with the International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS) at Tohoku University since 2016.
Through lectures, participant discussions, and workshops.
the program helps participants deepen their understanding of the Framework and encourages them to apply this knowledge to disaster risk reduction efforts.
