SENDAI -Towards a Disaster-Resilient and Environmentally-Friendly City

When a large scale disaster occurs, there is a danger that workplaces will also be greatly damaged, creating economic chaos and affecting the lives of Sendai citizens. Businesses need to work toward formulating a business continuity plan (BCP) so they can continue their core work when a disaster strikes.
Since 2012, Sendai has been holding joint seminars with the Sendai City Industrial Promotion Organization aimed at businesses, to popularize and provide support for businesses formulating BCPs.
